Launchit alternatives for launching an indie project
Comparing Launchit alternatives before or after a launch on launchit.fast? Below are nine other places to launch an indie project, compared from our own launch catalogue and our own listings, with dates. Disclosure: we make Proof of Traction (proofoftraction.com), a weekly leaderboard for indie projects ranked by measured website visitors, and it is one of the options. Launchit itself is not in our catalogue, so this page does not rate it. This page is about the launch site at launchit.fast, not about companies named Launch It Corp.

Why people look for an alternative
Makers rarely leave one launch site for another; they add places. The usual reasons: a second launch day in front of a different crowd, a link whose terms they can check, a free route that does not need a badge on their homepage, or a signal that lasts longer than launch day. Decide which of these you want before reading on, because the options below are good at different ones.
Three of the free routes below gave our own listing a followed link when we checked it: Twelve Tools on 27 October 2026, LaunchAF on 28 October 2026 and DanielLaunches on 30 October 2026. What our own platform adds is visitors measured on your site after launch day; what that looks like is below, with real figures.

The alternatives compared
In alphabetical order; this is not a ranking. Prices and link observations are from our launch catalogue, researched on 27 October 2026. "Followed" means the link we read carried no nofollow. Each name opens its entry below, where the name links to the platform's own page when this page's research holds one.

DanielLaunches
Our catalogue records a permanent launch page and two backlinks on Standard, with a badge required; removing the badge takes a free listing and its backlinks offline. Pro, $9.99 one-time, removes the badge, gives one of four featured spots and skips the review queue on launch day. Our own listing carried a followed link when we checked it on 30 October 2026.
DanielLaunches' pricing page says it runs 8 launches a day.
63 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 27 October 2026.
Fazier
Our catalogue records a free route with a listing within 30 days and three paid plans. On the 80 listings we read, the Visit link carried rel="noreferrer" without nofollow. We have submitted our project; a submission is not a live listing, so we record no link for it yet.
84 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
Launch Llama
Our catalogue records one free tool with a wait of about four weeks. A free link stays nofollow until Launch Llama finds its badge on your site or the listing reaches 50 upvotes, and a badge-granted link can turn nofollow again if the badge goes. Instant Launch and Featured include a permanent followed link. We have a listing there; its link check is in our launch platform comparison below.
Read the link check on our launch platform comparison before choosing its free route.

LaunchAF
Our catalogue records a free plan with a badge requirement and a usual wait of more than 30 days, and Alpha at $19 one-time for a launch the same day with seven featured days. The 22 homepage listings we read had followed website links; paid plans are followed without the badge, and sponsor links carry rel="sponsored". Our own listing carried a followed link when we checked it on 28 October 2026.
LaunchAF's homepage publishes weekly final standings after voting closes: the week of 26 October to 1 November 2026 shows 40 launches. Its pricing page describes the free plan as a place in the weekly community, with extra visibility when you need it.
57 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
Peerlist Launchpad
Our catalogue records a free launch and a backlink only for the week's top five; we could not read a listing page, so the link attribute is unknown.
Peerlist calls itself the professional network for builders to show and tell.
78 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
Product Hunt
Our catalogue records a free launch with no paid launch option; advertising is sold separately. The website link we recorded carried rel="noreferrer noopener ugc" and a ?ref=producthunt parameter. Our own launch there is planned, not done.
For the options we compare against it, see Product Hunt alternatives for makers.

Our platform: Proof of Traction
Proof of Traction is our platform. It ranks indie projects weekly by visitors measured on each maker's own site, shows week-over-week growth when a project has enough prior data, and displays each project's traffic sources, such as Google, X, Reddit, Hacker News and AI chats. Listing is free and approved by hand; an approved project's page links to your site with a followed link while our script keeps running there, and a site badge shows your visitor count. There is no launch day, no voting and no featured slot: a project is on the board from its first measured day and stays ranked by what its site measures each week.
Where it does not fit: you need a dated launch day, a one-off backlink without installing a script, or a listing for a product that has no public site yet. A project is listed only after our script is found on its site and a person approves it. How the counting works · the badge · submit your project.
SaaSHub
Our catalogue records a free submission. The listing we checked had rel="nofollow" on its Visit website link, while some smaller listings had an empty rel attribute, so not every listing gives a followed link.
SaaSHub's pricing page says it has 564,000+ monthly visits; that is SaaSHub's own figure for its site, not visitors to any listing.
81 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
Twelve Tools
Our catalogue records a free route and Pro at $36. Our own listing carried a followed link when we checked it on 27 October 2026.
Twelve Tools' pricing page says submissions are reviewed within 72 hours.
84 · Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
Uneed
Our catalogue records a free waiting line of at least 30 days, extending to about five months, and two paid options. In our sample 24 of 27 listings used rel="noopener" and three were nofollow; a free launch needs an upvote score of 20 for a followed link.
Uneed's free and paid launch options are compared with their official source in our guide to Launching Next alternatives.

How to switch
- Keep one launch kit. Your name, a one-line description, a logo, three screenshots and your site's address. Every option above asks for the same things.
- Start with the free routes we verified on our own listing. Twelve Tools, LaunchAF and DanielLaunches, noting each one's condition from our catalogue: LaunchAF's and DanielLaunches' free plans need their badge on your site.
- Install our script before launch day. Then every launch shows up on your project page: the days after you post appear under Visitors per day, and the launch site appears as a source under Where visitors come from if it sent anyone. That is how you learn which of the alternatives sent people, rather than which one promised to.
- Compare the week after with the launch week. Your project page keeps one line per week, and sealed weeks never change. Growth is shown once a project has a full previous week with at least 200 visitors.
Verdict
By the free route whose followed link we verified on our own listing: Twelve Tools (27 October 2026), LaunchAF (28 October 2026) and DanielLaunches (30 October 2026). Of those three, Twelve Tools has the highest rating, 84 Domain Rating by Ahrefs, read 26 October 2026.
By the lowest paid plan in our catalogue among these options: DanielLaunches Pro at $9.99 one-time, which removes the badge condition. By measured visitors after launch day: Proof of Traction, which is ours, so weigh that sentence accordingly. On Launchit itself we have no catalogue entry and give no verdict.
Questions before you launch
Is there a free Launchit alternative?
Yes. Every option above has a free route in our catalogue; the conditions differ. Twelve Tools and Fazier are free with a wait or review; DanielLaunches and LaunchAF are free with their badge on your site; Launch Llama's free link needs its badge or 50 upvotes; Uneed's needs an upvote score of 20; Peerlist Launchpad gives a backlink only to the weekly top five; Product Hunt and SaaSHub are free with the link attributes recorded above. Proof of Traction is free with our script on your site.
Which alternative gives a followed link?
On our own listings: Twelve Tools, LaunchAF and DanielLaunches, on the dates given. Fazier's 80 listings we read were followed, but our own listing there is still a submission. On Proof of Traction the followed link stays while our script keeps running on your site.
Does Proof of Traction have a launch day?
No. The week closes every Monday at 00:00 UTC, is reviewed and sealed, and the numbers never change after that. A project is on the board from its first measured day and is ranked by visitors measured on its own site, with the sources those visitors came from.
